Lips are commonly one of the most difficult features to draw properly. This is because the lip is drawn with a lot of shading - a technique new artist have not yet mastered. To the left is the basic shapes with comprise the lips.
Here are four different views lips and how they are drawn. It is best to start with the basic shapes. Then remove the dark lines and replace them with shading. Again, this is not a beginner feature.
