
The starting point for drawing bodies is the skeletal structure. Here you can see a head, a spine line, a rib cage, and a pelvis.

Here we have added to the skeleton. Shoulders, arms and legs are added. This completes the skeleton.

After our skeleton is done, we begin fleshing out the body. This involves filling in the muscles / flesh around our skeleton.

Here the fleshing is nearly complete.

After fleshing, the skeleton is erased and shading and detailing are done to complete the body.

This technique works for any position. The key is to start with the skeleton then move on the fleshing and detailing.
